Safe standing back on the agenda
The government have begun talks with the Premier League and EFL over the possibility of allowing safe standing.

A review into the regulation which makes all-seater stadiums are compulsory at the top of the English game is set to begin.

A government source told the BBC: "Safety of supporters is paramount. However we recognise that technology and stadium design has evolved since the all-seater policy was introduced and the time is right to look at the issue.

"The sports minister has not shut the door to fans keen on standing sections being introduced but it is important that all the evidence and viewpoints are considered extremely carefully."

So does literally NO ONE in any area of the Cesspit stand then??

Re: Safe standing back on the agenda
This would help sort out the cesspit at a fairly low cost. Make huge areas safe standing & try to get some kind of atmosphere going.

I Had a SEAT in all those years I had a ST at the Boleyn... but only time I actually sat my arse on it was probably at half time... how quaint that people actually sit down to watch a game of Association Football...

That would mean we would all have a duty to crush ourselves against the rail during Knees Up Mother Brown.

Equality? Communism?

To be fair the fans have t really done much to show that they can be trusted to behave if standing up at the bowl.

Re: Safe standing back on the agenda
Johnson is right, it will never happen at the bowl. There’s no incentive on either the club or the stadium owners to stump up the money.

The stadium owners will look st in in the context of other events there and dismiss it. When and I do think it’s when, safe standing comes back don’t expect West Ham to be anywhere near the front of the queue
